What if I sell my home?

The Mini Split Ductless Heat Pump will be included in your purchase and sale agreement just like any other rental equipment such as water heaters, oil tanks, propane tanks, etc. If the new owner doesn’t want the Mini Split Ductless Heat Pump, we will remove it in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Realtors tell us that heat pumps are a great selling feature for a home.

Who owns the heat pump?

Saint John Energy owns the heat pump.

Can I get more than one? 

Yes – and the more heat pumps you rent, the more rebates you are eligible to receive through the Total Home Energy Savings Program.

What does the rental payment include?

Rental includes standard installation, periodic inspection, service calls and repairs as needed.

Is there a minimum rental? 

Yes, there is a three-year minimum rental period. Please see the terms of the Rental Agreement for details on removal costs.

Can I put one in my garage?

Yes, in some circumstances. Book a free assessment to determine eligibility.

Can a business rent a mini-split ductless heat pump? 

Yes, if the business owner is also the owner of the building.
